Our clients bought their historic brownstone in Jersey City intending to renovate, but after moving out of the city and starting a family, their home project was put on hold.

When they had the opportunity to move back into their historic home and begin the renovation project, they took it. But trying to maintain a routine with young children during a major redesign isn’t easy. So rather than put the entire family through the dust and hassle construction brings, they asked Houseplay to step in and lead the project before they settled in.

What an incredible relief for our clients because while we prepare to start work on the home, they get to settle back into Jersey City with their toddler and new baby without the daily stresses of renovating.

We’re redesigning the entire top floor’s open plan to be a more private space that includes a master suite with spacious walk-in closets and a modern bathroom with a European aesthetic – all while retaining the important historical features of their home. At the back of the house, the space remained open to be used as a home office.

Our clients are looking forward to getting their home move-in ready. We’re excited to dive into this project. And while we plan meticulously at the start of any project, we’re always prepared to handle any unexpected situations that arise – so our clients don’t have to.

Our ultimate goal for this family is to deliver their historic brownstone renovation project into a turn-key home they can begin enjoying upon arrival. It’s our pleasure to handle the end-to-end details of every renovation project, so our clients can go on living their lives.
