Niall founded Houseplay in 2007 after moving to the US from England, where he worked as a tradesman for many years. Niall’s ability to see the big picture and simultaneously manage the details is key to Houseplay’s success in a demanding industry. As a general contractor based in northeastern New Jersey, Niall’s hands-on experience and knowledge of the construction trade informs his oversight work on a daily basis. Niall’s technical know-how and eye for aesthetic possibilities combine to catalyze successful renovations.

Shelley is the Operational Manager at Houseplay and oversees projects as well as the daily operations of the company. She is the point of contact for clients and follows each project from start to finish. Shelley has a pulse on every part of the company and keeps a close eye on all logistics. When not on site, she is at home with her husband, two daughters, an Italian Greyhound named Nova and a Bearded Dragon named Mister Snoops. Her weekends are spent hiking and working on her family’s historic home in Montclair.

Our design services are provided exclusively by Veronika Bamfield, owner of Doma Design. She gained her Master’s in Construction Engineering (encompassing both Design and Management) at Brno University of Technology, a prestigious school in the Czech Republic. Veronika worked as a designer at Gifford; a well-established civil engineering consultancy in South Hampton U.K. (now part of Ramboll, a Danish consulting engineering group). She later worked as a property manager for Stonehenge NYC, a large management company that owns several luxury apartment buildings in Manhattan. Veronika has been the the lead designer for Houseplay since 2015 and has designed most of the aesthetic projects showcased on the company website. She splits her time between New Jersey and South Florida where she lives with her husband and three children.
